Top 6 Face Masks for Dry Skin

Once or twice a week my skin is calling out for rejuvenation and hydration, so I like to take an extra half hour during my skincare routine to enjoy a relaxing face mask. My skin type is dry, so I am always looking for hydrating and refreshing masks to leave my skin glowing and soft. Here are six of my favourite masks of the moment!

Origins – GinZing Peel Off Mask

There is definitely something satisfying about peel off masks, so atlas one had to be included in this line up! The Origins GinZing Peel off Mask is refreshing and exfoliating. It is formulated with coffee beans which lift stubborn dead skin cells and any unwanted dirt within your pores. Whenever I use this I feel my skin feels very soft, smooth with a healthy glow. It exfoliates yet is still gentle enough to not make my skin feel irritated.

L’Oreal – Pure Clay Glow Mask

With dry skin comes a slightly dull complexion at times, so using a mask that adds radiance to the skin is essential. The L’Oreal Pure Clay Glow Mask is formulated with 3 clays, Koalin which helps to absorb imperfections and excess sebum, Montmorillonite which eliminate blemishes and Ghassoul which is highly concentrated in minerals to clarify the complexion. Mixed with the 3 clays is  red algae extract which is known for its brightening properties. Overall this mask leaves my skin feeling soft, supple with a healthy glow.

The Body Shop – British Rose Fresh Plumping Mask

When The Body Shop released its range of Superfood masks I just knew I had to try the Rose Fresh Plumping one, and once I saw the results I instantly loved it. It makes my skin feel plumped, supple and hydrated. It is a gel formula that 100% Vegan and infused with real rose petals, rose essence, rosehip oil and organic Community Trade aloe vera from Mexico. This will be amazing in the winter months when my skin needs extra hydration.

Nugg – Cucumber and Jojoba Oil Deep Cleansing Face Mask

The little pots of goodness are not only adorable and travel friendly, but are also packed with natural ingredients. My skin can still be sensitive, so when my skin needs a deep cleanse this is a great mask to use as it is still gentle. Each mask contains cucumber extract and jojoba oil which effectively cleanses the complexion.

What I like about this mask is how natural it is. It is formulated without the nasties of Paragons, Synthetic Fragrances and more, and eradicates all traces of excess oils without causing a drying effect for the skin. They are also very affordable, at just £16.45 for 5 single serve cups, so I like to have a few different boxes of these stocked up!

StarSkin – Firming Bio-Cellulose Face Mask

Sheet masks are my favourite type of masks to use as they are quick, easy and fuss free. I have to say that StarSkin are my favourite brand for sheet masks at the moment. They have a large range of masks that offer various different benefits for your skin so there is always so much choice to choose from. The Firming Bio-Cellulose Face Mask has been great for my skin.

It is a coconut mask that is soaked in serum and always leaves my skin feeling intensely nourished, lifted and adds a boost of radiance.  The mask is formulated with naturally fermented, vitamin-rich coconut juice, so it firms and nourishes the skin without irritation, perfect for those with sensitive skin.

111Skin-  Bio Cellulose Facial Treatment Mask

Another sheet mask, the 111Skin Bio Cellulose Treatment Mask is perfect for when your skin needs a little brightening and tightening. I was excited to recieve this luxury mask in a You Beauty Box and was really excited to see the results. The sheet mask fits well to my face and it is incredibly light.

Enriched with arbutin, which brightens, silk amino acids which moisturises and nourishes and centella asiatica which stimulates college production. I find this does make my skin feel soft and supple, adding a much needed glow to my complexion. At £20.00 for one or £85.00 for five, this is an expensive mask, but I was happy with the results!
