Elemental Herbology Delicate Cleanse Facial Cleanser

For the last couple of months I have really been trying to focus on finding good skincare products for my skin in the hope that I can finalise a skincare routine that genuinely helps to keep my skin hydrated, bright and clear. With that said, I think cleansing is a vital step in having a great and beneficial skincare routine, therefore I set out on a mission to find a great cleanser.

When I purchased the Elemental Herbology Delicate Cleanse Facial Cleanser (£20.00), which was the first product I had tried from the brand, I was initially drawn to the fact it has milky consistency. I find that milky cleansers once in contact with water, lather up effortlessly and really work deeply within the pores to remove any impurities from throughout the day. With all of this in mind, I thought I would give this a try.

I am a bit of an ingredients snob, and I’m really interested in what ingredients it is made of and how they are beneficial to the skin! The Delicate Cleanse Facial Cleanser is infused with pure rose damask water and Chamomile, both of which help to balance, soothe and nourish the skin, as well as Omega 3, 6 and 9. It also has ingredients such as Argon Oil which will replenish and hydrate the skin and Calendula and Marshmallow which have an anti-redness effect. It also works as a 2 in 1 product to remove any make up, great for an evening skincare routine when you want to cut down the steps and crawl into bed after a long day! My skin type is very dry, fairly sensitive and is prone to redness, so naturally I was eager to try this out.

Instead of using this cleanser on slightly damp skin, the direction is to apply to dry skin so that it can work imminently to remove any traces of make up, dirt and impurities. I find you only need a small amount as the milky consistency lathers up quickly, therefore a little goes a long way. It does remove my make up nicely, however it can at times leave some stubborn traces of mascara. Because of this I prefer to remove my makeup before hand with a micellar water or oil such as the Decleor Micellar Oil (post) or even a makeup wipe before going in with this cleanser. It is also a good cleanser to use in the morning, when you want to cleanse the face and remove any makeup that possibly lingered on the skin throughout the night.

In terms of cleansing, I am impressed with how well it manages to cleanse my skin of all the dirt and impurities, whilst not causing any sensitivity. My skin feels fresh and clean and it actually feels fairly soothed and soft after use. The redness around my cheeks also seems to subside slightly.

Overall I am really happy with this cleanser! I  plan to rotate in with my Decleor Micellar Oil (post) and my Benefit B.Right Foamingly Clean Facial Wash (post) however I am still on the look out for a cleanser that I feel really hydrates my skin! If you have any to recommend I would love to hear!

Have you tried any of the Elemental Herbology Line?

Until next time, Emma x
